the face of increasing rates of anxiety, depression, and social isolation, Rural Arizona Engagement (RAZE) is hosting its second annual Building Healthy Futures for Youth Mental Health Forum on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Central Arizona College, Coolidge Campus.

This year, RAZE introduced a new Youth Planning Committee made up of students from Pinal and Yuma counties, who helped shape the forum’s agenda and activities. Their leadership reflects RAZE’s ongoing commitment to putting young voices at the center of community-driven mental health solutions.

According to national data, rural youth face persistent disparities in access to mental health care. Research shows that over 20% of rural adolescents struggle with mental health disorders, yet rural areas often lack adequate mental health services and resources.

The Building Healthy Futures for Youth forum is designed to address the unique mental health needs of rural communities by creating a safe and collaborative space for students, parents, educators, and professionals to connect, learn, and act. The day will feature youth-led panels, interactive workshops tackling stigma and resilience, and a community resource fair with local mental health organizations. Attendees will also be invited to participate in a sound bath session promoting mindfulness and collective healing.

Events like this forum help bridge those gaps through community connection, leadership, and resource sharing.
