Rural Arizona Engagement (RAZE)’s Environmental Stewardship program uplifts rural-led solutions to climate and environmental challenges. Our work is grounded in rural values, intergenerational knowledge, and the belief that communities should honor tradition while leading in protecting their future.

We focus on building resilience through clean energy, water justice, land protection, and storytelling. Across Arizona, we are elevating rural voices and practices that show what’s possible when communities come together to care for their environment.

About the Campaign
Harvesting Sunlight or Cosechando Luz is a short film series and campaign by Rural Arizona Engagement (RAZE) spotlighting rural voices leading with creativity, care, and clean energy. With support from REAP grants and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), many families and businesses lowered costs and accelerated sustainability goals.
Even as these programs end, rural communities continue to lead, proving the power is still in our hands.

Why it matters: Rural Arizona shows clean energy lowers bills, supports jobs, and strengthens local economies.

We need to stand up to demand we have access to more programs that support our economies and our protected lands.
