International Day of Rural Women: JoAnne Galindo

JoAnne Galindo from Pinal County, AZ was raised by the saying "family is everything." She carries this value into her daily life through her work as an Eloy City Council member, advocating for the implementation of accessible child care, bringing equitable recreational activities to Eloy, and focusing on the health and safety of her community.

Beyond her role as an elected official, she is involved in many community groups, including Central Area on Aging as the Advisory Board President, United Way of Pinal County Secretary, Eloy Lions Club Secretary, Corazon De Latinos Unidos Committee, and the Sparrow Campaign. She is also a facilitator for the Hispanic Leadership Institute-Pinal.
